Our chief instructor and his wife are active homeschooling parents, and have developed a curriculum based upon the "Classical" model of learning where students acquire knowledge, work to understand what they have learned, and eventually demonstrate an ability to apply what they know. Both children and adults benefit from this form of learning philosophy at their own pace. Students are never compared with others and are taught to always be respectful toward their fellow students. In addition to training in karate, our students also acquire knowledge and are tested on Japanese language, history and cultural studies.
